From my understanding when the new app is installed, it seems to replace or uninstall GeForce Experience. No extra processes running, I'm smart enough to go to their site to manually check for new drivers, I don't need it to auto adjust my games because I'm smart enough to manually tweak my games and I don't use it for streaming.
